INTRODUCING Gorilla 5 (film production) SOFTWARE
Gorilla 5 is a robust software application that lets independent (guerilla) filmmakers manage the many details that a film or movie requires for successful production. Unlike standard film development software, Gorilla unites two key necessitiesfilm scheduling and budgetingwith a range of components that include: cast members, crew personnel and supplier management, rehearsal routines, calendar scheduling, storyboards, shot lists, location/setting management, expenditure recording, revising notes and finding important film festivals.
Gorilla 5 sports a new appearance and has improved its speed and functionality. Gorilla software contains convenient interface functions like easy accessible toolbars, support for multiple windows, moveable and expendable windows and automatic spellchecking.
Film Development Scheduling
Easily generate and manage breakdown sheets with improved efficiency and accuracy than in the past. Gorilla 5's scheduling capabilities encompass support for a variety of schedules for each project, limitless breakdown lists--each with its unique color code and structure style to identify important appointments. You can also print out a number of useful breakdown layout sheets.
The Stripboard Module
Gorilla 5 includes a Stripboard that lets you move around strips with the mouse. You can customize regular or large size strips with specific colors, as well as automatically insert day breaks. You can save unlimited revisions of the Stripboard.
Production Schedule and Call Sheets
Displayed in a month-to-month calendar layout, the production calendar shows color-coded stages of production with staff as well as "call times" for staff and crew.
Film Production Cost Management
Gorilla Budgeting consists of a Top Sheet, different budgeting levels (including a 4th level) to track Account and Detail budgets. The software comes with an auto-budget builder, unrestricted contractual fees, and more than 50 budget templates that you can model.
Gorilla 5 has upgraded the budgeting component so that it supports global currency guidance, and allows you to integrate a ratebook, track expenses, and connect budgets to schedules.
You can label a contact as an actor or actress, staff and/or agent rather than needing to type in the same person in different places. The Contact Management module includes support for agents and executives, actor statistics, a variety of headshots, unrestricted representation for actors and crew, day/union expenses for actors and crew, options to create and email multiple individuals at once and safe-keeping of contact info. for each business or individual.
Managing Different Locations
The Location feature allows you to save and tag different location photos that you can re-size and re-arrange. This module also gives you built-in mapping, a photo collection with more than 100-plus stock photos of locations, as well as detailed information about each location.
A Built-In Storyboard
The Storyboard lets Directors and DP's set up camera shots with the integrated shot libraryit consists of 56 various camera shots with sample storyboard photos. The interface lets you easily position shots, and create and save different styles for each setup.
Tracking Your Expenses
You can record production expenditures against your budget using the Expense Tracking module. You can generate a report of your budget balance to determine if your production is above or below budget.
