INTRODUCING Persona (Character-Building) SOFTWARE
Developing engaging, compassionate, and authentic characters is the most important steps in writing an engaging, interesting story. Persona is a character-building software, helping you to create compelling characters who will spearhead your story forward and grab your readers' interest from page one. The software's intuitive interface helps you classify and sort characters into various prototypes, based on personal characteristics such as their backgrounds, their motivations, their behaviors, their fears, their desires, what they look like, etc. Persona lets you see inside of your character's head, allowing you to flesh out a cookie-cutter character into a compelling character.
Based on common and unique archetypal motifsheroes and villains, protagonists and antagonistsPersona lets you pick and choose from detailed collections of: 1) character habits, 2) attributes and mannerisms, 3) weaknesses and strengths, 4) cultural backgrounds, 5) professions and pursuits, and 6) how they socialize and interact with other personality-types.
Whether you want to build a character who is a mad scientist working on a "cure" to turn humans into zombies or a pet shop owner who tames lions as a side job, Persona will help you see how each character's mental and emotional states change as they interact and socialize with different character-types. For example, Persona can show you what develops if your character embraces evil activities and changes from hero to villain.
Persona includes 32 character dispositions, classified into male and female protagonists and antagonists. For example, one archetype, called the Action Figure, is a character who is brave, strong and adventurous, while another archetype, the Companion, is one who is loving, nurturing and generous. If you alter the attributes of either archetype, then Persona software shows how these changes affect the character's motives and behaviors. The Action Figure, turning away from his morally-right responsibilities, might become the Brute archetype, one who is ruthless and combative. Likewise, the Companion, when corrupted and seduced, becomes the Opportunist archetype, one who misleads others to get ahead. A third archetype, the Caregiver, is one who is sympathetic and loving; however, when faced with opposing circumstances, she might transition into another archetype, the Distracted Mother, one who is careless and indifferent with her children.
Persona will help you focus on the important process of creating and forming your character from idea to completion. You can set up your own Smart Groups according to traits like descriptive tags, class, gender, or any keyword or phrase. If you are unsure how different characters will mesh together, you can assemble special collections of characters who are not yet associated with one another. This method will enable you to examine and experience each character's intentions and interactions. Persona also lets you search a database of 16,000-plus character names and choose a name based on its meaning, origin, or sound. You can also create and add your own character names to the database.
